Wunderpar

A golf engagement and rewards platform that links fitness, contests and a voucher marketplace into one daily experience. Built mobile-first, with backend services, Health Connect integration and AI-powered image workflows.

What it does

Wunderpar rewards golfers for showing up — whether that's steps, rounds played, contests entered or challenges completed. Leaderboards drive the social loop. A voucher marketplace closes the value loop.

My contributions

  • Mobile app development with a tight focus on day-to-day usability.
  • Backend services for users, contests, leaderboards and voucher fulfilment.
  • Health Connect integration to source verified activity data.
  • Leaderboard, contest and reward systems, including economic balancing.
  • Voucher marketplace and redemption workflows.
  • AI-powered image workflows for verifying photo-based submissions.
  • User engagement loops designed to encourage habit, not coupon-hunting.

Architectural decisions

Health data is sensitive, so we built strict boundaries between raw signals and reward logic. Contests run on deterministic, replayable pipelines so we can always answer "why did this user get this reward". The mobile app uses local-first patterns for the parts that matter so the experience stays fast even on poor networks.

Business impact

A live consumer app with an engaged user base, contests fans actually compete in, and a voucher marketplace tuned to a specific community rather than generic offers.
