Wunderfan

A sports engagement and rewards platform that turns watching, reading and predicting into a real reward loop. I worked across the mobile app, the .NET backend, Azure infrastructure and the AI workflows that keep submissions trustworthy.

What it does

Wunderfan turns passive sports fandom into an active, daily engagement loop. Users earn through Watch-to-Earn, News-to-Earn, trivia and predictions, and redeem in a voucher marketplace tuned to fan interests.

My contributions

  • React Native development across iOS and Android, with a focus on perceived performance and feel.
  • .NET backend services for users, rewards, content and integrations.
  • Azure cloud infrastructure: app services, queues, storage, identity, observability.
  • Watch-to-Earn and News-to-Earn engagement systems, including reward economics.
  • Voucher and reward systems including issuance, redemption and fraud safeguards.
  • AI-powered image workflows for verifying user-submitted content at scale.
  • Real-time integrations with live sports data providers.

Technical challenges

Real-time sports data is messy. Reward economics can be gamed. Mobile apps live or die on perceived performance. We invested early in clean integration layers, idempotent reward processing, and AI-assisted moderation that gracefully degrades to humans on edge cases.

Business outcomes

A consumer product in production with active fans, a voucher marketplace that's actually redeemed against, and an engagement loop that survives the gaps between match days.
